City of Leoben
The heart of Styria
Leoben is a city of culture, a university town, a trading town, the second largest city in Styria and the headquarters of leading international companies. Schwammerlturm, Montanuniversität, Gösser brewery and steel production are only some of the supra-regional landmarks of the city. Leoben is also a city with visions in the cultural field. Montanistic and mining traditions are still lived. Examples are the mountain parade, the Barbara celebration or the “Ledersprung“.
